Most of us are carrying more than we can hold. Goals at work, maybe a business on the side, a family that deserves your best hours, and a dozen apps and lists trying to keep it all straight. You work hard and still get that quiet feeling that you're busy without knowing if it counts.
That was me. I kept rebuilding my setup. New app, new system, and every time the pile got bigger while my week stayed the same. Everything I tried was built to help me do more. More was never my problem. Nothing was deciding what actually deserved my time.
So I built the part that was missing.
What it does
APARA starts with what you refuse to compromise on: your values, your limits, and the handful of goals that matter most. Then it holds you to them. Before anything new gets your week, you get a straight call on it: proceed, redesign, or drop it. Every call gets written down with the reason, so six months from now you can see why your time went where it did. Your next move becomes your best move, and you stop wondering whether you're making actual progress.
If you are holding a job, a business, and your family's best hours all at once, APARA is where all three get weighed against the same standard. It does that for me every day. It helps keep me organized in my engineering day job, and it weighs the business I'm building against the family time I refuse to let get squeezed out. Back in April I ran one of my own features through it, one I had already built. It came back "redesign," not "proceed." I rebuilt it. That is the kind of straight answer it gives you.
How it works
It's yours. Everything lives as plain files on your own computer, so it outlives any app or subscription. It's built in Obsidian, a free notes app, and Claude, the AI I use, works inside it under the rules you set. Because the AI brings your context to every question, its answers stop being generic. It checks your decisions against your standards. It never makes them for you.
The Clarity Tools on this site are the small front door. Each one does a single piece of what the full system does every day.
What you can hand down
Done right, this becomes the one thing you can actually pass down. Not money. The way you think and decide, written down, so your kids inherit your judgment and not just your stuff. That's the reason I keep building it.
Where it stands
The full system isn't open for sale yet. I'm running it with a small group first and learning what people actually need before I open it wider. If you want your own, the waitlist is the way in, and you'll hear from me before anyone else.
