This Privacy Policy explains how TLP Solutions LLC, an Illinois limited liability company doing business as APARA Method ("APARA," "we," "us," or "our"), collects, uses, and shares information when you visit aparamethod.comor use our tools, membership, or emails (together, the "Services").
We designed APARA with a privacy-first posture: many of our tools run entirely in your browser, and we do not store the contents of the thoughts, journal entries, or decisions you process through them after your session ends unless the tool explicitly says otherwise.
1. Information we collect
a. Information you provide
- Account and membership data — email address, invite code, and, where relevant, name you voluntarily provide.
- Payment information — processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your full card number. We receive transaction metadata (amount, last 4 digits, ZIP, transaction ID).
- Email list data — if you subscribe to an email sequence, newsletter, or lead magnet, we collect your email address and the context in which you subscribed (e.g., which form, which page).
- Support messages — anything you email us at hello@aparamethod.com or admin@aparamethod.com.
- Tool input— text you paste into an AI-powered tool is sent to our AI provider to generate a response. See "AI processing" below.
b. Information collected automatically
- Usage and device data — IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, referrer, and timestamps. Collected through standard server logs (Vercel) and basic analytics.
- Local browser storage— some tools (notably Mirror Journal and the Identity Triangle) store your entries in your browser's IndexedDB or localStorage. This data stays on your device and is not transmitted to us unless you explicitly export it.
- Cookies — we use strictly necessary cookies for login sessions and may use analytics cookies to understand aggregate usage. You can disable cookies in your browser; some features may not work without them.
c. Information we do NOT collect
- We do not sell personal information.
- We do not have access to Mirror Journal entries, Triangle data, or other content stored in your browser's local storage.
- We do not retain the specific text of prompts you submit to our AI tools after the response is returned to you.
2. How we use information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and improve the Services;
- Process payments, deliver memberships, and send transactional messages (receipts, access credentials, account notices);
- Send marketing emails you opted in to (onboarding sequences, newsletters, product announcements) — you can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email;
- Respond to support requests, legal notices, and inquiries;
- Detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, and security incidents;
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
3. AI processing
Text you submit to AI-powered tools is sent to Anthropic, Inc. (the Claude API) to generate a response. Anthropic processes this data under its own terms and does not use API inputs to train its models by default. We do not store the content of your prompts on our servers after the response is returned to you.
Do not submit confidential, regulated, or highly sensitive information (medical records, trade secrets, passwords, etc.) to the tools.
4. How we share information
We share limited information with service providers who help us operate the Services (known as "processors" under GDPR):
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Anthropic — AI inference.
- Vercel — hosting, serverless functions, and server logs.
- Kit (ConvertKit) — email sequences and newsletter delivery.
Each provider is contractually limited to using the data only for the service it provides to us. We may also disclose information (a) to comply with law or valid legal process, (b) to protect APARA, our users, or the public from fraud, harm, or security threats, and (c) in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to you where required.
5. Retention
- Account and billing records — retained while your account is active and for up to seven years afterward for tax and legal compliance.
- Email list — retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
- AI tool input — not retained after the response is returned.
- Server logs — retained for up to 90 days.
6. Your choices and rights
Everyone
- Access, correction, deletion — email admin@aparamethod.com to request a copy of the data we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it. We will respond within 30 days.
- Opt out of marketing email — click the unsubscribe link in any marketing email. Transactional messages (receipts, account notices) are not optional while your account is active.
- Local data— you can clear Mirror Journal and Triangle data at any time by clearing your browser's site data for aparamethod.com.
